Hide AdAssistant Manager Luke Jeffs said it was a comfortable performance: “I think it was a comfortable win in the end.
“It looks a bit closer than it actually was but I thought it was a pretty dominant performance and it was a thoroughly deserved win we look forward to the next round.
“I thought in the first 15 minutes we were well in control, but obviously, they got a goal on the break, there were never any concerns from us, and from there we responded excellently.”

Worksop quickly responded five minutes later as Luke Hall was tripped in the box, leaving Vaughan Redford to send the keeper the wrong way for the equaliser.

Hide AdRedford got his second after he used a nice bit of skill to get around the defender before placing a shot into the right-hand side of the goal from the edge of the box.
Much like in the first 45, The Ambers scored first in the half as a long ball to Waite was brought down and fired straight at Malkowski but the rebound fell kindly to him and he tapped into an empty net.
But Worksop responded once again as Dan Bramall’s shot was saved by defender Kacey Butterfield and the referee pointed to the spot, The keeper went the right way but the shot was too powerful for the keeper as Redford completed his hat trick.

Hide AdSubstitute Liam Hughes then got himself on the score sheet as a looping corner from Terry Hawkridge found the big striker at the back post whose towering header made it 5-2.
Basford scored their third goal of the game as a misplaced pass from Malkowski was intercepted by a Basford player who passed across for Ashley Chambers who calmly slotted into the bottom left corner.
The Tigers extended their lead back to three in the 90+3rd minute as a corner found Liam Hughes once again who hit the crossbar with his header but Luke Sheils was on hand to get his first goal on his return to the club.
Worksop have been drawn against National League North side Kings Lynn Town in the next round, and that tie will take place on Saturday 28th September.
