They were eventually held 2-2 at Thackley having gone ahead through first half goals from Charlie Baird and Michael Trench goals.

But it all went wrong for the Tigers after the break when Trench gave away a penalty, which was scored by Mike Garrod, and was sent off in the process

And, with seconds to go of the five minutes injury time, Garrod tapped in from the goal line to deny 10 man Worksop the win.

Spink said: “It is very disappointing. In the first half we dominated the game and scored two goals, we looked well in control of the game.

“In the first five minutes of the second half we’ve had a chance, it’s gone up the other end and Trenchy has tried to get the ball, but seen a red card and it totally changed the game.

“We defended like warriors for 40 minutes but unfortunately they’ve broke us down and got the equaliser in the 95th minute, the lads are desperately unlucky but we have to fight another day and go again.

“For the last three games they’ve given me their heart, soul and everything else.

“They couldn’t have given me anymore, blood, sweat and tears, they’ve been outstanding for me and I couldn’t be more proud of the lads in the changing room.”
