Road Runners want new generation

THE Worksop Guardian Towpath and Trail 10km race and fun run are just three weeks away, and organisers the Clowne Road Runners want to see the next generation of runners taking part.

Both races take place on 20th May, starting at Shireoaks Bowling Club.

The entry fee for junior runners will be just £2, and prizes will be available for the first boys and girls teams, and the first boys and girls Under 12 and Under 15.

Dennis Learad of the Road Runners said: “As this is Olympic year, I thought we could really try and attract the younger end of the running fraternity, in particular the running clubs who have a junior section.”

“We’d also love schools to enter teams and individuals.”
