Retford: New riders welcome to sample cycling club event

Over the years, these rides have introduced dozens of local people to cycling with a group of like-minded individuals

Sunday’s ride will be no further than 35 miles and will be at a steady pace and includes a cafe stop at about half-distance.

Starting from Retford market square at 9am the ride is free to anyone as long as your bike is roadworthy.

Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The rides present an ideal opportunity to acquire the skills of the clubman or for older riders to get a gentle reintroduction to club life.

Anyone interested should meet in the market square at 9am where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.
