Remembrance run for Harriers

THE Worksop Harriers marked Armistice Day with a trip to Ploegsteert in Belgium, for the Remembrance Half Marathon, on a course around the First World War battle fields.

Seventeen Harriers took part, in the field of over 4,000 runners.

Several of the Worksop athletes recorded personal best times, with the ladies performing particularly well, achieving some excellent times and positions in their categories.

The junior Worksop Harriers also gained valuable experience racing against top quality competition at the National Cross-Country Relay Championships which were held at Berry Hill, Mansfield.

Young athletes raced three legs of 2km and pulled out all the stops.
