Podium spot for Hilbert

The Retford and District Wheelers cyclo-cross contingent travelled to Stroxton near Grantham last weekend, for the Lincolnshire League series.

Promoted by the Witham Wheelers the race was held on a hilly and wind swept course.

Christopher Hilbert had to be content with second in the Under 12s event, and his father Steve claimed second place in the 50 years plus race for the second week running.

Jane Roberts slipped back to third in the ladies competition.

The club run this Sunday will be a circuitous route to Newark, the distance will be about 65miles and the terrain will be mostly flat. Meet in Retford market square at 9am.
