Paula beats world champ in Welsh Open

CAPTAIN of the Lincs darts team, local lady Paula Jacklin, and Notts partner Paul Harvey had a successful weekend in the Brean Sands Wales Open.

They gave the world champion Anastasia Dorbromislova from Russia and world-ranked partner Steven Bunting an early exit in the mixed pairs, thrashing them 3-0.

They then won three more matches on their way to a final against world number two Scott Waites and Dee Bateman, which was a tense affair, Paula just missing out on a 115 finish and Waites and Bateman got the winning double with their last dart to give them the championship.
