Owls, Imps and Blades to pay Tigers a visit

Worksop Town have announced their pre-season friendly schedule ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Among the highlights will be home games against Lincoln City, Sheffield Wednesday, Mansfield Town and Sheffield United, with Mark Shaw’s men also facing several away matches in preparation for the new campaign.

A trip to Ollerton Town on Wednesday, July 6 gets things underway before Lincoln visit on July 9 and Halifax Town two days later.

Handsworth Parramore are the hosts the following day before Sheffield Wednesday come to Worksop on Friday, July 15 and the Tigers then go to Shirebrook a day later.

Two home games in two days see Mansfield Town and Gainsborough Trinity visit on July 20 and 21, Dronfield Town play host on July 26 and then Matlock Town and Sheffield United round things off on July 28 and August 5 respectively.

An away fixture is still to be confirmed for July 23.
