Worksop Dolphins celebrate 2019 successes as county champs begin

Members of Worksop Dolphins celebrated the club’s success at the annual presentation night at North Notts Arena on Friday.

A large audience saw trophies and awards presented, guests who took part in the presentations were Notts ASA President Richard Roberts, his wife Patricia, and mechFS director Natalie Sutherland.

While the Notts ASA Counties Championships have begun and over 20 Dolphins members are taking part. During the first weekend of the championships Worksop Dolphins swimmers made 22 of the finals.

Those Dolphins swimmers who made it to a finals were Jake Franse, Sophie Smith, Lucy Conroy, Archie Brooks, Kyren Goodwin, Max Davies, Kaitlyn Butters, Izzy Lee and Jody Gillott.

Sophie Smith finished 3rd in the12yrs 50m Backstroke, Kaitlyn Butters 1st 12yrs 50m Butterfly, and 2nd 12yrs 200m Breaststroke, Lucy Conroy 3rd 16yrs/and Over 50m Butterfly, 2nd 16yrs/ Over 200m Freestyle and 3rd 16yrs/ Over 50m Backstroke, Max Davies 2nd 10yrs/Over Disability 50m Backstroke finishing first on British Disability Points, Max also finished 2nd in the 10yrs/Over 100m Freestyle also being placed first when British Disability points were used.
