Having received very clear guidance from the British Triathlon Federation, the clubs committee have appointed a Covid 19 officer.

The first job for the officer, Amy Hardy, was to complete a comprehensive Covid 19 action plan alongside individual risk assessments for any coached sessions.

All these actions have been in co-operation with the BPL Leisure centre where most of the club’s sessions are based.

Head coach Steve Chambers said: “It will be good to get back to some level of club activity but we are being very careful to ensure all members are kept safe.”

Amy Hardy added: “Working within the BTF guidelines and the reduced numbers allowed into the leisure centre we are confident that the sessions will be a success and very popular. An online booking and payment system will be rolled out to all members very shortly.”

Following these first tentative steps the club will look to potentially start some outdoor cycle and run sessions at a later date.
