Norfolk visit
MORE than 40 bowlers from Cannon Bowling Club and Friends of Bassetlaw Indoor Bowls Club headed to Norfolk for fundraising matches against Long Sutton BC, Browston Hall BC and Acle Bowls Club.
Organisers Charles Emsen and Sylvia Spencer said the event at Hopton-on-Sea was a huge success, exceeding all expectations.
Sylvia said: “Thanks to support from the Lincs and Norfolk bowlers and players from the local Retford & District and Saturday Leagues, the fantastic sum of £700 was raised to be divided between the Bassetlaw Hospice and McMillan Nurses.”
