And they were back in action 24 hours later in the November Classic, in the New Forest.

Next Sunday they travel to Byron’s Walk, near Annesley, where local runners will be competing in the East Midlands League.

This event is also the local round of the Yvette Baker Trophy, the national knock-out cup for juniors.

Two Bassetlaw juniors have been invited to Hawkshead, in the Lake District, at the end of November, to join a training camp specially put on for the top juniors from each region.
