RANBY House School held an inter house orienteering competition last week, with every child from Year 3 to Year 8 taking part.

The youngsters competed on a 20-minute score course.

Individual medallists were: Y3 and 4 girls 1st Virginia Cressey & Sophie Holehousel; 2nd Grace O’Reilly; 3rd Hattie Jackson. Y3 and 4 boys 1st Tom Cooley; 2nd Harvey Holehouse; 3rd Douglas Barnes. Y5 and 6 girls 1st Amelia Bayston & Claudia Irving; 2nd Freya Webster; 3rd Summer Davis & Jade Davis. Y5 and 6 boys 1st Ryan Wright; 2nd James Recaldin; 3rd Sam Westwood. Y7 and 8 girls 1st Madeleine Foulds; 2nd Eleanor Cooley; 3rd Jodie Wright. Y7 and 8 boys 1st Rhys Connor; 2nd Huw Brown; 3rd Jordan Brown. In the overall team result St Benedict House came out as the winners.

BASSETLAW Orienteering members travel to the Lake District this weekend to run in the British Orienteering Championships.

The event comprises of an individual race on Saturday and a relay on Sunday.
