HARWORTH race ace Dean Hipwell returned to the scene of his season-ending crash on Easter weekend, in the first round of the 2012 British Supersport Championship.
It was Hipwell’s first outing since breaking his wrist at Brands Hatch last August, and he started from 14th place on the grid in Sunday’s race, finishing eighth.
On Monday he had to start from the back of the grid, and after a fuel spill he crashed out of a shortened race in the first lap and was awarded 12th place, giving him eighth in the overall standings.
