Luke and Daniel Fisher have been competing in the Arenacross Championship, which has seen them in action in Belfast, London, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Daniel, 11, and Luke, 14 had to undergo special training for the events and rubbed shoulders with some top riders.

Mum Kaye explained: “Before entering they needed to practice the different techniques for this event.”

“They went to Wheeldon in Devon where they had an indoor supercross track, and there they spent three full days riding with other riders who had entered, including professionals Carl Nunn and Tom Church.”

After their practice sessions the schoolboys headed around the country, riding at the O2 Arena in London, the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Birmingham’s LG Arena and the last round was held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

And they did themselves proud, Daniel finishing seventh overlal and Luke 10th.

The action didn’t stop there for the brothers, who travelled to Spain to train with professional riders Danny Tollet and Greg Rowbottom in a recent school holiday.
