Worsop rider takes part in Mega Acalanche race

Worksop’s Terry Batty rolled back the years after taking part in the Mega Avalanche race.

Terry (69) took part in the famous Megavalanche Alpe d’Huez marathon race, which sees thousands of riders take the departure from the famous Pic Blanc. this The mass Start at 3330 meters high on the glacier and its finish line in Allemont, 2600 meters down, makes this DH Marathon race the longest and craziest race in the world.

After the race Terry said the first part of the race over the glacier nearly finished him, but found the determination to carry on down completing in 2hrs 30min.
