The Worksop Guardian has teamed up with Kilton Forest to offer our readers the chance to win a year’s free membership at the golf course – worth £420.
Kilton Forest was opened by Princess Margaret in 1978 and can lay claim to famous golfing exports Lee Westwood and Mark Foster, who both began their careers in the sport at Kilton.
It was former world number one Westwood who officially opened the newly refurbished facilities at Kilton Forest a few years ago, when he said: “I had some really good times here in my youth and the young talent that I have seen here today makes me feel very proud of the club.”
Kilton was built on sandy land, is open all year round and very rarely needs to switch to winter greens.
The 18 hole par 72 course is both challenging and friendly to experienced and novice golfers alike.
Visitors are welcome and can warm up before play on a landscaped putting green and chipping area.
The course facilities include a pro shop, that sells gear from the top golf companies, a restaurant and a function room available for hire.
A current promotion at the course, running from 1st April to 30th April offers 15 month’s of membership for the price of 12 months.
A seven day golf membership costs £420 per year, with a five day membership option available at £360.
The course is owned by Bassetlaw District Council and managed by an external company, BPL.
To enter the competition, just email your name, address and contact number to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am on Thursday 10th April.
Normal Guardian competition rules apply.
