JUST seven days after going back to the top of the world rankings with a win in Indonesia, Lee Westwood has triumphed again.
The 38-year-old won the Ballantines Championship in South Korea, after carding an impressive five under par final round of 67.
It was enough to beat Spainard Miguel Angel Jimenez by a single shot, and kept Westwood as the world number one golfer.
The Worksop man said both he and Jimenez had predicted a play-off finish to the tournament, but he was delighted to live up to his place in the rankings.
“We had a nice bottle of red [wine) and after dinner I said ‘I’ll see you in the playoff tomorrow’ and it nearly went that way,” said Westwood.
“Professional golf is all about winning and it’s great to do it two weeks in a row.”
“When you’re world number one it’s always nice to come and play like you’re world number one and I think I did that.”
