Worksop Under 13s secured a 30-5 away win at Long Eaton on Sunday.

The first half of the game was very evenly matched, but persistence in front of the post created a chance for Ryan Dickson to convert a penalty.

In the second half, Worksop pressure saw Man of the Match Caius Tweed score a superb try.

Long Eaton replied with an excellent try by Kieran Pudge.

But Thomas Whitehurst received the ball from a line-out, passing to captain James Hands who drove through to score.

Whitehurst then scored a try of his own, before Hands went over the line again after strong running off the back of the ruck.

In the last minute David Burton received the ball at Long Eaton’s 22 yard line and with some excellent side stepping crossed the line, Ryan Dickson converting.

On Sunday they face Dronfield at home at 10am.
