Despite the final Trent Valley Road Club Sunday ride of 2013 being held on one of the coldest mornings of the winter so far, a total of 21 cyclists shared the road.
Led by events coordinator Justine Atkinson, the riders departed Marshals Yard in Gainsborough and held a steady pace through Gainsborough town, up Foxby Hill and on to the quiet and frosty back roads of Lincolnshire.
The group split in Scotter and a faster cohort of riders comprised of Ian Ferriby, Jordan Skellingthorpe, Paul Brownless and father-son duo Liam and Matt Hindmarsh broke away for 15 miles only to join up again later in the morning for the final leg of the 38 mile ride.
Planning has begun for a trip to the Indoor National Cycling Centre to use the incredible facilities.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ride for two hours in the Velodrome.
Bike hire is available on the day but all club members must register interest now.
