Third national title for Worksop's '˜Blonde Bomber'

Worksop Xbox Boxing Academy's Hollie Towl has won her third national title '“ all in different weight classes.

And her coach is now tipping his ‘Blonde Bomber’ to bring a world title back to the town in the future.

This latest success for Xbox comes on the back of a fantastic medal rout in Ireland in October.

Rising star Towl, 15, took this year’s National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs Championship by storm and head coach Chris Boyle said: “I’m absolutely both proud and delighted to add this title to our club’s growing list.

“Hollie is a unique talent that goes to show what time spent learning and dedication to your craft can achieve.

“I’m totally over the moon for her and like I keep saying I’m gonna go right to the top with Hollie and by 21 we’ve set a goal of a world title for this town.

“There’s nothing this girl can’t do in the boxing ring and to go through the rounds like she has not dropping a single round is exceptional.

Towl was in destructive mood, stopping her opponents in the quarter-finals and semi -finals.

This set up a final in Bridlington against a quality operator from London.

Towl took a tight first round as both girls started fast but in rounds two and three she took over with flashy movement and a collaboration of precise punch picking.

This gave a verdict of a clean sweep in all three rounds from the three judges ringside to secure a first title of this sort for the Worksop club.

Boyle now leads his squad of superstar girls in the England Boxing Box Cup in Manchester this weekend with high hopes of more glory.
