Teresa retains county title at Robin Hood Marathon


Teresa McPake retained her Nottinghamshire county title at the Robin Hood Marathon.

She won both the senior ladies along with her over 35s veteran category in a time of 3:16:03.

While Cathy Mhembere (3:59:45) recorded a personal best time, winning a county silver medal in the over 45s category.

Other Worksop Harriers running at Nottingham were Colin Laughton (3:19:12), David Corbett (3:29:23) and Tracy Hamilton (4:25:49, PB).

The junior Harriers got the winter cross-country season underway with the first of the mini league meetings at Kings Park, Retford, where the team as a whole finished in seventh place.


Under 11 girls – 1,500m. Brooke Stevens (10th, 7:17).

Under 11 boys – 1,500m. Tyler Broome (4th, 6:19), Sam Sanders (14th, 6:54), Adam Vaughan (29th, 7:44).

Under 13 girls -2,000m. Freya Dolby (6th, 8:27) and Olivia Hare (14th, 9:09).

Under 13 boys – 3,000m. Finlay Preece (3rd, 11:57) and Henry Dickinson (25th, 14:56).

Under 15 girls – 3,000m. Savannah Storey (15th, 14:02), Lucy Forest (22nd, 16:42) and Laura Betts (25th, 17:37).

Under 15 boys – 4,000m. Ben Walker (10th, 16:21), Laith Gladwin (14th, 17:08) and Regan Langley (18th, 21:15).

- The next race in the league is at a new venue, the King George V Playing Fields, Mansfield NG18 4JW and starts at 1pm.
