TWO of the county’s show jumpers have been selected for the British Equestrian Federation’s (BEF) 2011-2013 World Class Development Programme.
Louise Saywell from Retford and Daniel Moseley from Blyth have been re-selected onto the UK Sport funded programme, which works with talented riders to maximise their potential and deliver success.
In 2010, 21-year-old Daniel, left, finished third in the Alltech Royal Windsor Grand Prix and was part of the Tretorn International Young Rider European Team that competed at the European Championships in France.
World Class Performance Director Will Connell explained how the Notts duo were chosen for the programme: “The selection process was slightly changed this time and carried on over a longer period of time allowing applicants to be viewed ‘in competition’”
“The standard of rider applying was higher than ever and the selectors had a difficult job; but, that’s excellent news for us as a nation as it reflects the wealth of talent that we are fortunate to have.”
