Sheffield Steelers will be injury-free in their start to the domestic season tonight.

After several days of concern over forwards Robert Dowd and Brandon Whistle, coach Paul Thompson declared he would have a full squad at Nottingham Panthers, in the Challenge Cup.

Dowd's recovery from an upper-body problem is an important one - he is tipped to be Steelers' leading scorer this year, if he steers clear of further ailments.

While Whistle's situation will increase competition for a spot on the fouth line.

Skipper Jonathan Phillips has also made a full recovery from a dead-leg.
