The fifth Grantham Summer Solstice saw 600 runners take to roads around Long Bennington, with a Clowne athlete beating 598 of them.
Dan Page was the lone Clowne Road Runner taking part in the race, on a flat, rural course, and he finished in a time of 34:08 to take second place and a £50 prize.
The 3 ThreeLake Classic Race is a local race organised by Killamarsh Kestrals RC.
This is a multi-terrain race over 15 miles over a challenging and scenic course.
It is 80 per cent off road with trail conditions for the most part and fully marshaled.
The course starts at the Rother Valley Lakes taking in Treeton and Ulley lakes.
Richard Hind finished in 26th position in a time of 1:50:13 with Gemma Hind in 117th position.
The Rother Valley 5km parkrun was without two of their key personnel last weekend, Graham Worsfold and Helen Callender both Clowne Road Runners, who tied the knot at the weekend.
But in their absence the run attracted over 200 runners and first home for Clowne Road Runners, in sixth place with a personal best time of 17:55 was Jordan Street.
He was followed by Michelle Needham 22:35, Karen Shipman in a personal best time of 22:47, Lynn Hazelton in a personal best time of 25:10, Greg Goddard 25:20, Graham Sheen 25:52,Dave Keeling 26:40, John Profit 26:38, Julie Keeling 33:43 and David Burton-Rollett 42:05.
The Horwich Festival of Racing was the setting for the British Masters Federation 5km road race.
A three lap course in windy conditions saw Clowne Road Runner Jacki Robson cross the line in a time of 21:05, finishing sixth in the over 45 Vets category.
