Santa adds festive feel to Worksop Harriers’ cross-country race

Even Santa was impressed when teams from Worksop Harriers hosted their home race in the Notts Mini Cross-Country League series at Worksop College.

In the fourth race of the series, Santa took time out from his busy schedule to make a surprise appearance and act as the official starter to add a festive feel!

For the girls, Brooke Stevens was sixth and Maisy Heggie 17th in the U11 category, while Freya Dolby was sixth and Savanah Story tenth for the U13s and Erin Lonsdale 13th and Chloe Sanders 18th for the U15s.

For the boys, Elliot Jordan was eighth, Evan Brown ninth, Sam Sanders 12th and Henry Dickinson 16th in the U11 race. Jake Charters was 14th and Laith Gladwin was 18th in the U13 race.

Five Harriers also ran in the Bolsover 10k, with Rob Smith finishing 100th in 41.17 minutes and Teresa McPake 102nd in 41.20.
