A group of budding young Worksop athletes were selected to represent their county at the Sportshall East Midlands Regional finals at Grantham.

In the Under 11 girls section, Freya Dolby was joined by Harriers clubmates Mia Swindell and Teegan Page in the Notts team.

Lucy Forrest was picked for the Under 13 girls team, and in the Under 13 B team Regan Langley, Caius Tweed and Laith Gladwin earned county vests.

The Notts Under 15 girls team included Harriers Emily Race and Sophie Mills, and the boys team at that age group included Nathan Langley.

Emily Race was crowned individual champion girl at the event and booked her place in the national final both as an individual and a member of the Notts Team, along with team-mate Sophie Mills.

Nathan Langley finished as second overall boy at Grantham and joined the Notts Squad.

The Under 15 Boys and Girls both won their age categories and will now move forward to represent Notts in the National Finals, which will be held in Manchester on 26th April .

Meanwhile the Under 13 girls came second in their age group, have to wait with baited breath to find out if they too are Manchester bound.

The youngsters were beaten by just a single point, meaning a recount was necessary to determine once and for all who won through the regional round to qualify for the national finals next month.
