This week saw the concluding match of Hallcroft’s Teams of Four Silverfish League.
The Matrix Trentmen were set for victory but The Northern Inn squad upset the apple cart after taking four section wins during the last event to steal top spot.
Lee Hassett bagged the first ton weight of the season at Sherwood Forrest, winning Wednesday’s Open with ease after netting just short of 104lb of prime carp.

Teams of 4 Silverfish League Result: The Northern Inn stormed to victory in the end as they pulled off four section wins to come from behind to take the overall crown with 170 pts.
Their team plan not to bring bloodworm definitely paid off for them as they all caught more bonus fish.
Matrix Trentmen, who were leading up until the final event, had to settle for second place with 165pts.
The battle for third and fourth was a tie and had to be settled on count-back, with Kelly’s Stores taking third and last year’s winners having to settle for fourth spot both on 158pts.
Fifth place went to Sullivan’s Slappers with 157pts and Daiwa Drawbags were in sixth place with 156pts.
This year’s league was one of the closest fought in the eight year history of the league.
Hayton Lakes Fisheries: This newly opened complex are running a series of Tuesday Open Matches, sponsored by Retford Angling Centre.
The draw will take place at 8.45am at the Reception Office.
Entry fees are £17 with generous section and over-all payout as well as bonus prizes.
