The 34th London Marathon attracted over 36,000 runners to the capital on Sunday, and one local man finished in an elite category.
Gareth Lowe completed the gruelling 26.2 mile course in a magnificent time of 2:28:34, giving him 33rd place overall and second in his veteran section.
The result moves him up into second place in the UK rankings for the marathon distance in his age group.
He was joined in London by fellow Clowne Road Runners Graham Worsfold, Deborah Leese, Malcom Stapelton and Susanne Leusby.
Stapelton came home in an impressive 3:14:54 Worsford finished in 3:24:58, Leese in 4:22:43 and Leusby crossed the line in 4:22:42.
Another Road Runner took on a big challenge at the weekend, Richard Hind completing the Chicken Fell Run in the peak district – a 9.5k course.
Hind finished 13th in a time of 48mins.
The Sheffield Castle ParkRun saw Clowne athlete Peter Twigg finish in first place in a fantastic time of 18:41.
