London Marathon blog: 3 months, 8 days to go

Friday 13th January.

Managed a steady five miles in the dark this morning, having been spurred on after a couple of late donations to my justgiving page last night.

And despite the ominous date I’ve also had a bit of good news regarding the training.

Worksop Leisure Centre has stepped in to sponsor me with a bit of the ‘core training’ I was worried about (possibly having taken pity on me after my Davina McCall DVD failings yesterday).

This is great news, I know swimming will be a help to smooth any aches and pains, and also help keep the exercise levels up in the process.

I’ve heard the pool’s good so will make that my first port of call next week.

I’ve got my weekend’s long run to conquer first though.
