The 2013 Lee Westwood Junior Championship, now in its 16th year, is open for entries.
The junior tournament will be held at Worksop Golf Club on Monday 22nd July, with 80 places up for grabs.
Guardian sports editor Graham Smyth said: “We’re hoping for yet another incredible tournament for the region’s juniors.”
“Although Lee is unable to attend, I still expect the local juniors to turn up in droves and battle it out for the trophies.”
Westwood also encouraged youngsters to get involved.
He said: “I would encourage all those who qualify for this year’s championship a to sign up as soon as possible.”
“There have been some great days over the years at my home course and I know 2013 will be no different.”
“Good luck to all those taking part and enjoy the day.”
The event will once again feature top prizes from PING, and the annual scratch and stableford trophies.
Secretary manager at Worksop Golf Club Alan Mansbridge added: “It’s one of our most prestigious events for the juniors, they all look forward to it and so do we.”
