Wetlands Fisheries was again the proud host of the David Lane Memorial Charity Match.
Dorian Lane set up the event some years ago in memory of his late father David but also as a way of raising much needed funds for Bassetlaw Hospice.
This prestigious event has gone from strength to strength with anglers from around the region giving their unprecedented support.
Dorian and family would like to pass on their sincere thanks to Clive and Sheila for hosting the event so well and to all those who attended on the day.
Special thanks also to all those who donated raffle prizes, including Best Western Lion Hotel, Savoy Cinema, The Cannon, The Ashley, Stephen Jackson and the highly respected Mick Burrell, who sadly passed away recently.
This year the numbers were up again so the competition was tough.
But Keith Morris wasn’t intimidated by the numbers, landing an incredible 149lb to take a convincing win.
Eddie Buxton netted a commendable 88lb of carp to take second place, ahead of third-placed Sid Whitehouse.
Section winners were Andy Favell and respected fishery owner Clive Barratt.
