Ervins Mustukovs has soon got over the shock of being dumped as Sheffield Steelers goalie.
The Latvian, initially, said he’d been under the impression he would be re-hired after a conversation with the club about his future at the start of the year.
But the goalie has thanked all concerned for his two years at the club and tweeted a picture of himself alongside his farewell remarks on the ferry sailing across the North Sea. ‘Moose’ told The Star: “It is just a business. Steelers can do and sign who ever they want. It is how it is.”
Fans on social media have been quick to suggest alternative employment, with posters suggesting Belfast Giants may be a possible new hunting ground for him.
Ice hockey supporters from Milton Keynes Lightning and Braehead Clan have also suggest he would be a good fit for them.
