Lee Westwood will feature in the penultimate singles match of the 2014 Ryder Cup tomorrow, as Europe take a 10-6 lead into the final day at Gleneagles.
The 41-year-old, who has brought home two points from foursomes outings this weekend, will face off against America’s Jimmy Walker.
Texan Walker has lost one and halved three of his matches - that defeat a chastening 5&4 loss to Graeme McDowell and Victor Dubuisson today.
For Westwood, the match will represent a chance to move within one point of Nick Faldo’s Ryder Cup record of 25 points.
But with Europe in such a commanding position, the result of Westwood’s match against the 35-year-old American may not be vital.
Sunday’s play gets underway with McDowell taking on young gun Jordan Spieth at 11.36am, while Westwood has to wait until 1.36pm.
