Lee Westwood’s competitive 2014 comes to an end this weekend, at the Thailand Golf Championship
The Worksop golfer will tackle Amata Spring Country Club, where he has tasted victory in the past.
In 2011 Westwood dominated the inaugural event, beating the chasing pack by a commanding seven shot lead and notching a course record.
“It’s probably the best I’ve ever played,” he said.
Westwood plays alongside Kiradech Aphibarnrat in the first round on Thursday, teeing off at 11.40am.
Last weekend the 41-year-old finished with a share of 16th place at the Nedbank Golf Championship at Sun City, South Africa.
It was his fellow International Sports Management golfer Danny Willett who won the title.
The Worksop Golf Club export was level par after the first round, shot a two under par 70 in round two but was six over for his third round.
He completed the weekend with a two under 70, finished two over par for the event with earnings of €70,063.
