Members of the Dukeries Academy for Gymnastics and Trampolining visited Malta to participate in an International Gymnastic Competition.
The Worksop-based academy had 11 gymnasts take part and they brought back five golds, four silvers and three bronzes.
In Category E was Lottie Fowler. In Category D was Lowan Woolford, Millie Childe, Lydia Hurdley, Caitlin Flynn, Katie Parkin and Grace Bradley. In Category C was Eleanor Brammer, Sophie Brogan, Leah Hepburn and Isobel Lin.
Welfare officer Tracy also attended the competition and said: “It was a true inspiration to see our girls perform to their best of their ability and bring home 12 medals.”
Assistant coach Zannah Woolford added: “The girls had been working hard towards this amazing opportunity and the girls are good role models for the upcoming gymnasts at their club.”
A club spokesperson said: “The team achieved phenomenal results for their club and also for their gym coaches. They competed against countries from around the world.
“The girls are already working hard towards their 2016/2017 competition season. Also a great thank you to Bassetlaw Council for sponsoring the girls uniform for the competition.”
