County Halloween medals for Worksop Harriers

The Nottinghamshire County Half Marathon Championships were held in conjunction with the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon.

Worksop Harriers’ Teresa McPake set a personal best time to claim a silver senior and a gold over 35s with a time of 1:27:20 & Tim Doughty also recorded a personal best of 1:15:34 to win a silver senior medal while John Hewitt (1:27:09) collected a county bronze in the over-50s category.

The rest of the Harriers finished as follows: Colin Laughton (1:29:40), Sarah Worley (1:34:01), Tracy Hamilton (1:47:30), Amy Fendley (1:52:37), Marc Brooks (1:52:58), Charlotte Hewitt (1:56:44).

Worksop Harriers finished fifth in the second meeting in the Notts Mini League cross-country at the Grove Leisure Centre at Newark.

The next meeting in the league is at Kings Park, Retford on Sunday, November 15. Results:

U13 girls – 2,000m: Freya Dolby (5th, 9:54), Savannah Storey (11th, 10:12), Lauar Betts (25th, 11:31), Lucy Forest (29th, 11:48), Grace Sanders (32nd, 14:01).

U13 boys – 3,000m: Laith Gladwin (9th, 14:56), Jake Charters (10th, 15:01),

U15 girls – 3,000m: Erin Lonsdale (5th, 15:09),

Victoria West (23rd, 18:53), Lucy Harrop (25th, 19:31), Chloe Sanders (26th, 19:40).

U15 boys – 4,000m: Ryan White (12th, 21:24).
