A Clowne Road Runner clinched a top five place in the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon – a race that attraced over 1,300 runners.
A flat course gave rise to hopes of fast times, and taking advantage of the excellent conditions on Sunday, Dan Page finished in fifth place in a time of 73:56.
The Chatsworth 10km, organised by ‘Helen’s Trust’ which supports people with a terminal illness, brought over 400 runners to a picturesque course.
After a hill start, popular with fell runners, the route levels off to follow woodland tracks before opening out onto the moor top and descending back into parkland.
Clowne’s Wayne West finished 10th in a time of 40.54.
Road Runner Chris Lane, while on holiday at Walt Disney World, ran the 1.9km Tour of the Beach race, finishing first in a time of 8:09 and tops the leaderboard for this years competition.
Andrea Walker ran the Wirksworth Incline, a tough four mile race climbing over 600 feet, and completed the course in 39:24.
She also completed the Wirksworth Wiggle, a race for Fire Fighters Charity.
In a 10k run over mixed terrain using the High Peak Trail, the Clowne runner finished 41st in 58:10 and won the first lady over 40 prize.
Team-mate Karen Rawson finished 56th and won the first lady over 50 prize.
At the Tigers Todger Fell race, Richard Hind recorded a time of 40:06, while Graham Worsfold recorded a personal best at Mansfield Park Run in a time of 19:03.
