A Worksop College student held her nerve to secure a county golf title, and qualify for aregional championship.
Lindrick Golf Club member Beth Acey put together a magnificent round of 71, one under par, round the Nottinghamshire Golf Club.
The performance was enough to win the Nottinghamshire Schools Stroke Play Title, just pipping Notts Girls player Sophie Newlove, by one shot.
Emily Lyle of Outwood Academy finished third in the county championship.
Lyle and Acey now qualify for the Midlands final in May next year, to be played at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club in Shropshire.
Acey will take experience from this year’s Midlands Championship, when she finished eighth.
