All white on the night for Dinnington’s Snow in heavyweight bout at Arena

Professional boxers had fun in the sun on JE promotions hot shots show Saturday night At North Notts Arena Worksop.

First bout of the night seen Tickhill’s Richard Thomas against Walsall’s Richard Harrison in a light heavyweight contest.

Thomas earned a points win 40-37 with being the neater and busier man.

Bout two of the night saw well supported Connor Tongue from Dinnington take on Kent’s Ricky Leach over six-two minute rounds in the lightweight division.

Tongue on debut was the stronger of the two and backed his man to ropes regularly to work the body. Leach came back with the sneaky counter punches but Tongue was always the busier and stronger of the two taking it 60-54 on points.

Ruskington’s Dan Cooper kept his traveling fans happy with a 40-37 points win over Latvia’s Jevgenijs Andrejevs in the cruiserweight division, in the third bout of the night, taking his record to 2-0.

The fourth and final bout - the main event - saw Dinnington’s Darren Snow tussle his way through a heavyweight contest with Hungarian Ferenc Zsalek. Winning on points 40-37, Snow was the quicker and busier of the two and always had the edge.
