Melrose win Hazel Lawrence Trophy

Melrose captain Alan Revill as usual took on the singles and had an inspired game to crush Les Savage 25-4).
Consequently, the other Scotter 1 rinks were always up against it trying to make up the deficit.

Melrose have had a very good season as they also won the Knockout Shield and the Kelsey Cup.
The Garner Shield was also concluded last week when Misterton and Rose A comfortably beat Marton GB and North Wheatley, respectively, to meet in the final at Marshalls.
The game was close in the first few ends but Misterton drew into a comfortable lead in the middle of the game and finished 85-66 winners.
In the league the Lincoln Co-op v Rose A game may or may not take place but it cannot be an agreed draw as this would make Misterton the bottom club which would not be fair to them.
