Maidens in the mist

OVER 50 Gainsborough and Morton Striders were shrouded in mist as they lined The Avenue on Sunday, for the start of the town’s second annual 5k.

The race, part of the West Lindsey Series, saw the largest ever turnout in the local club’s 30-year history.

Everyone Active sponsored the event, which started and finished at the leisure centre.

First Strider home was Jerome McCulla in ninth, and another four team-mates joined him in the top 25.

The race was completed by a number of the Striders’ ‘Couch to 5k’ scheme runners.
