Kids net tennis skills coaching

LOCAL kids got the chance to try their hand at tennis this week at Welbeck.

Welbeck Tennis Club coaches Brian Rhodes, Sam Richardson and Rita Rhodes hosted the sessions at Lady Margaret Hall Welbeck.

The sessions were held between Tuesday and Friday this week, from 9.30am until noon, with games, competitions, prizes and skills coaching.

WHEATLEY Tennis Club begin their season with an open day on Saturday, at 2.30pm.

Entry will be free, with refreshments and racquets available.

A club spokesman told the Guardian: “We’re looking forward to seeing players of all ages and abilities.”

“Wheatley is a friendly club, offering good facilities and an opportunity to play all year round, whatever level of player you may be.”
