It’s close in the Triples

The Monday Triples Bowls League was the only daytime league playing at the West Lindsey Leisure Centre in the week before Christmas but there was still plenty of excitement.

Brian Parkin’s M12 team are still on top but they suffered a second consecutive defeat and to their closest rivals as well! Geoff Gray’s M1 team won 18–9 despite being 7–8 behind and are now only one point from the top.

Furthermore, this latest defeat for M12 gives three other teams a good chance of lifting the championship. Rosemary Woollard’s M11 team stay in third despite suffering what could be a vital 17–4 defeat to Ken Walker’s M3 team who are still fifth but with two games in hand. Keith Christian’s team M7 close up in fourth after a comfortable 17-7 win over Trevor Gaines’ team M9.
