It’s a family affair on cycling club ride

GAINSBOROUGH Aegir Cycling Club’s 19-mile leisure ride on Sunday was a great family event when club member and father Matt Hindmarsh led the ride with his son Liam (13) and daughters Sophie (nine) and Belle (six).

Other riders were Trevor Halstead, Colin Smith, Dave Backhouse, Joe Smith (15), Pete Hanks, Daniel Nicholson and Mark Clark.

They headed out of town along the riverside cycle path to Morton progressing through Laughton Woods then passing through Laughton and Blyton, and heading home through Pilham, Corringham, Springthorpe and Heapham, returning to Gainsborough along Heaphan Road.
