Horse-racing ‘Tip Of The Day’

Fancy a flutter? Here is our latest selection from the stable of Scoop Racing (Richard Silverwood):

Wednesday October 10

TAMARKUZ

Kempton 8.00 WIN

I am slightly concerned about his wide draw, which is not easy to overcome at Kempton, but everything else is in place for a big run from Godolphin’s two-year-old on his nursery handicap debut. His opening mark of 82 appears to be perfect on a line through Red Avenger, the filly who just beat him at Warwick two runs back and went on to land a competitive nursery at Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire meeting last month off 85. The colt is also proven on the Polytrack surface, having eased home at Wolverhampton on his last start a month ago, while trainer Saeed Bin Suroor’s strike rate at this course is second to none -- 33% with all runners and more than 40% with juveniles. After paying a whopping 325,000 dollars for the US-bred son of Speightstown, the ‘boys in blue’ will certainly be disappointed if he cannot pick up an £11,800 contest on a Wednesday night in October!
