Worksop Ladies continued their good form in the Midlands Regional Association League with the 5-0 win over bottom side Ashbourne in Feeder East.
Worksop started strongly and dominated possession early on.
But they were initially unable to convert any of the chances they created until Ailsa Gray finally made the breakthrough, slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Worksop made the perfect start to the second half when they doubled their lead, man of the match Kate Wilson deflecting in a shot from Jade White.
Worksop continued to press and further goals from White and captain Katie Hetherington extended the lead to 4-0.
Just before the end of the game, Wilson got her second leaving to make it five.
Worksop 2nd finally got their first point of the season in the Notts League Premier Division with a 2-2 home draw against North Notts 2nd.
And in the process, Worksop enjoyed the psychological boost of lifting themselves off the bottom of the table.
Despite having early chances, Worksop were unable to find the back of the net and found themselves 2-0 down at half-time.
However, Worksop’s luck turned in the second half as Rebecca Prudence pulled a goal back and then Fiona Webb equalised from a short corner.
Worksop pressed for a winner but it wouldn’t come.
Nevertheless, the draw and the point was very good result for them.

Worksop 3rd drew 1-1 at South Notts in Division Two.
Worksop started well and went close from a short corner.
Notts then enjoyed their own spell of pressure made it count when they took the lead from a short corner of their own.
But Worksop dug deep and equalised just before half-time.
The second half was more of the same with Worksop dominating midfield, but unable to get a shot on goal, while good defensive play kept Notts out at the other end.
