Half Marathon full

THE 2011 Clowne Half Marathon is at full capacity ahead of Sunday’s race.

Spokesman Dennis Learad told the Guardian that the maximum number of entrants had already been reached, for the 26th Clowne Road Runners organised event.

He said: “The race is now full and there will be no entry on the day, we have over 800 runners taking part, from all over the country.”

Those who want to take part and haven’t yet registered can still get involved through the three-mile fun run, with entries taken from 9.30am onwards.

The half marathon begins at Clowne Community Centre at 10am, with the fun run to start immediately after.

There will be hot food and drinks available before the start, and a full bar available at the community centre, where the race begins and ends.

A physio and pre and post massage is also on offer for any runner taking part.
