Good debut for Charlie
A WORKSOP teenanger has brought a swimming gold back from Leicestershire after a successful open water debut.
Worksop Dolphins prospect Charlie Humphries won the 1,500m Midlands Open Water Championship at Bosworth Water.
It was the 13-year-old’s first venture into open water swimming.
Dad John told the Guardian: “The weather was cold and raining but Charlie won the event and has now qualified for the national final to be held at Rother Valley Country Park on 21st July.”
