Freya Christie and GB team in high spirits ahead of Fed Cup

Hucknall's Freya Christie and her Great Britain team-mates look in high spirits ahead of their Fed Cup adventure.

The 18-year-old was pictured alongside Katie Swan, Heather Watson, Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith in a hot tub after a hard day’s work preparation.

And further videos on the LTA website show Christie and Co grilling coach Judy Murray, taking part in a Q&A and performing a Fresh Prince of Bel Air-style rap.

The team start their bid to win promotion from Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 on Thursday in Pool B ties against Georgia and South Africa in Israel.

The squad were dealt a huge blow earlier in the week when GB women’s number one and Australian Open semi-finalist Johanna Konta pulled out through illness.

It prompted a late change and the inclusion of Christie and 16-year-old Swan, a former junior world number two, to join the squad.

Christie enjoyed her first ever Wimbledon win in the Junior Doubles with Glaswegian Anna Brogan in 2015 and is currently ranked 396 in the world on the pro circuit.
